This was the first day I had got my new camera and I was trying out different things. My nephews tricycle in my parents yard. I changed to black and white in post and tweaked the settings to make it different than just a standard B&W color change.
This is part of the same group of photos from the previous photo. This is an old shed at my parents house that has been there for many years. Standard B&W post setting but I kept the berries red to have them pop a bit.
This image was taken for the people who ran the company. I had to use Photoshop to take out a street light, darken the sky, composite two shots to keep some blinking lights in the photo. This also has a random cat in it, which I really like.
This image was taken on a very cloudy day along with a limited time frame. I took this photo and the one below then had to fix all the color separately, remove unwanted stains in the concrete, and replace the sky.
These two car photos required lots of post work but I feel it was worth it. They were chosen to be on the front and back cover of a local annual calendar. Along with fixing all the color, replacing the sky, and some small removal of concrete blemishes. I also had to remove a bush from the left side in post.
This photo was part of my first assignment for class. The assignment was to photograph water, playing around with shutter speed to get the look you wanted. This was taken with a 90's point and shoot camera.
This night I wanted to test out a new 50mm prime lens that I had just received. I went to the local park at night, as to be alone, and took over a hundred shots to get the feel of a new lens that I had never used. Minor post touch ups, removal of some green around the lamp, and in the grass below the bridge. This photo excursion was never meant to have anything come out of it other than practice but I really like this photo.
This was part of an assignment for class. "Make a movie or game poster". I couldn't think of anything I liked until the night before when walking inside my house and seeing my shadow on the floor. I took this photo using the timer on my camera. I am also both people in the photo. Tried many different lighting set ups but none worked better than the light from the lamp across the street. I composited the images in photoshop, darkened the shadows, added text and a title (not shown).
This was a project for school but not an assignment. Work shop type photos to hang in a class room. This are just random bolts in my fathers shop. I used a macro lens to get the focus right.
Another from the workshop project, other than the back ground and the old pencil sharpener, this is completely set up. I have found that set up is great but some randomness (tossing sawdust, grab random tools, ect.) can really enhance an image.
Workshop project. I played with the lighting a lot in this one until I just shut off all lights, then used one light (my phone) to get the shadows the way I wanted.
This is a standard B&W post image with the red leaves. I wanted to keep the red and use them to help with the rule of thirds.
